Natalia Wong was born into a family struggling with financial difficulties. Unlike her older brother, she was not injected with Compound V. Her brother, injected with the compound in exchange for money, developed electro-magnetokinesis. Despite their challenging circumstances, Natalia and her brother shared a loving and caring relationship. When he turned 18, he was admitted to Godolkin University with aspirations to join The Seven, hoping to bring financial stability to their family.At the age of four, Natalia accompanied her family to Vought Tower. During this visit, she was kidnapped by a scientist named Lewis Ross, who saw an opportunity to experiment on a young child with Compound V. Her disappearance devastated her family. Despite their desperate search, they were unable to find her. Her brother, overwhelmed with guilt, eventually committed suicide. She was subjected to horrific experiments. Injected with the compund, she appeared dead for two weeks. When lab assistants attempted to dispose of her body, she transformed into a small, monstrous creature, massacring the assistants in a violent act of ripping them apart, taking their eyes out and eating their guts. This transformation was due to a symbiote growing inside her. Ross named the symbiote "Anistemi," derived from the Greek word meaning "to stand up" or "to rise up." Over time, Natalia began to forget her family and her past, focusing only on survival.The kid developed a unique relationship with Anistemi. While Natalia was driven by a strong will to survive, Anistemi was more empathetic and reluctant to commit violence. Despite this, she forced beast to commit violent acts for their survival. The symbiote provided her with superhuman abilities but also shared her pain and trauma and while he was out she can't see or control what he is doing. When Cate and Sam freed the subjects at Godolkin, Natalia discovered a folder labeling her as "Test Subject Number 25" with a note: "athazagoraphobia" (fear of forgetting). She adopted the name "Athaza" and escaped. She now lives on the streets of New York, struggling with her lost identity and haunted by her past.
